Experience

Lisa has over 18 years of experience working across the lifespan. Currently she offers individual therapy for adults and perinatal parent/infant therapy.

Lisa has a passion for assisting people to made sense of and survive the impact of trauma and loss. She has spent several years working in specialist treatment programs for complex trauma, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Group Schema Therapy and Adult Trauma Programs at St John of God Hospital in Sydney. She has conducted research on the factors contributing to psychological resilience amongst trauma survivors at Macquarie University, and has worked in collaboration with STARTTS NSW, a service for treating torture and trauma survivors based in Western Sydney.


Having worked in both public and private therapeutic settings, Lisa has also gained experience in the treatment of substance misuse and addictive behaviours.


Lisa is also an experienced parent-infant attachment trainer and facilitator. She has worked in Child and Family Community Health, and on the Mother Baby Unit at St John of God, Burwood. She has a particular interest in perinatal mental health, dealing with adjustment to parenthood, birth trauma,  cultivation of secure parent-infant attachment, and fostering compassion and self-care for mothers.
